Healthcare Support Worker (Aux Nurse)

Description

An Exciting opportunity for a highly motivated and hardworking auxiliary nurse has arisen within the area of Lanarkshire. Hospitals in and around Lanarkshire are well equipped to provide a high standard of nursing care to patients with diverse needs. All hospitals where you would carry out this rewarding post in have a range of excellent transport links to get you to and from your destinations, with buses running every 10 minutes and subway/train stations nearby; so there is no need to be a driver.

As an Auxiliary Nurse, you would be required to:

· Provide a high standard of nursing care to patients with diverse medical needs.
· Maintain accurate and pertinent records.
· Provide a safe environment for the treatment of patients and protection of staff.
· Administer medications and treatments.
· Perform diagnostic tests.
· Provide support and advice to patients.

To be considered for this role as an Auxiliary Nurse, you will need to hold:

· A minimum of 6 months experience in a care setting including ward experience.
· PAMOVA Certificate (Prevention and Management of Violence & Aggression Training).
· Evidence of health screening where evidence of immunity to Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B and TB will be required.
· Prepared to be a member of the PVG Scheme.
· Involvement in one to one direct support and personal care with patients.
