Project Worker

Description

ASA provide staffing support to a number of organisations in Glasgow who work with service users facing homelessness, addictions and mental health issues. We are currently recruiting for Project Workers to provide support in the Greater Glasgow area.

Due to the nature of these roles, the Project Workers positions are suitable only for those with previous experience in a similar environment, not as a first time role.

You must be confident and empathetic, able to provide non-judgemental support to service users. You must be prepared for potential challenging behaviour and addiction side effects.

A Project Worker should provide support in tasks such as running a home, budgeting, making positive decisions and integrating with the community.

We have Project Work available over a variety of shifts and can offer work to suit your availability.

The role of Project Worker in this instance will include –

• Supporting people in temporary accommodation to acquire the skills to manage their own tenancy
• Supporting service users with making/attending appointments
• Supporting service users to participate in positive activities and social events within the community
• Acting as a positive role model to the people that you support

To be successful in this role, candidates will –

• Have previous employment experience in homelessness
• Knowledge of addictions and accompanying behaviours
• Be warm, friendly and able to connect with service users in a meaningful way
• Be confident and empathetic
