Description

Are you a Chartered Health and Safety practitioner who has experience of working with public sector organisations? We are seeking a Health and Safety Advisor for a ¾ month contract based in Edinburgh.

Main purpose of the role:

· Undertake a Health and Safety Review for our client – a critical business requirement, working across Estates, Business Continuity, Risk Management, HR/Training, Governance Administration and Partnership Board to review protocols and practice, together with resourcing in the organisation to operate an effective and compliant Health and Safety regime, and make recommendations for improvement

Essential:

· Significant experience in inspecting, reviewing or managing a Health and Safety function in mid-sized organisations or larger
· Qualified and experienced practitioner in Health and Safety, with a strong understanding of legislative and training requirements and industry good practice and innovation
· Experienced practitioner of risk management, profiling and control
· Must be a Chartered Safety and Health practitioner possessing appropriate qualifications (eg. NEBOSH National Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety or equivalent)
