Description

Our Midlothian based client is seeking a passionate and driven fundraiser for their growing charity supporting people with learning disabilities and autism to help them succeed with their latest project plans.

The main tasks for you as the fundraiser will be to continue to develop our client’s successful trust and grant relationships, to launch their first local public appeal including potential high-level donors and to further develop modest corporate and community events. This is a fantastic opportunity for the right fundraising candidate to bring their expertise, gravitas, passion and skill base to support our client in achieving their fullest potential.

The fundraising officer will work as part of an office team and will:

· Lead on raising a significant capital campaign and achieve mutually agreed bi-annual targets
· Submit high quality applications to Trusts, Foundations and Grant making bodies with occasional corporate approaches
· Support the development of a high net value individual giving campaign and help identify targeted research at specific individuals
· Support the development and delivery of a public appeal in support of our client’s objectives
· To manage any corporate support and volunteering and pursue any further corporate funding opportunities
· To support the development of marketing materials for the public appeal and other publicity tasks
. Use ThanQ – their in house system
· To develop and maintain good relationships with potential and actual funders including acknowledgements and the delivery of any reporting criteria
· To demonstrate a flexible approach towards enhancing community life and achieving fundraising targets.

As a fundraiser it is essential you have:

· Degree or appropriate HND level qualification in a relevant subject
· Membership of Institute of Fundraising and preferably certificated course
· 3 years in a fundraising position in a busy work environment
