Fund Accountant

ASA are delighted to be working with a well-respected Professional Services organisation, based in Glasgow City Centre, looking to bring an experienced Fund Accountant into their established team. This role will focusing on in depth reporting, provided to the tailored needs of specific clients, the completion of working papers and financial statements will be imperative to this position.
The ideal candidate will have over two years’ experience in Fund Accounting environment however those from a client accounting or practice/audit background will also be considered. The successful candidate will have a client focused demeanour along with exceptional attention to detail while also having the appropriate technical skills and willingness to workloads to a high standard. Either those who have achieved or are studying towards a professional qualification will be considered for Fund Accountant post.

The Role:
– Preparing accurate interim & annual long and short reports to appropriate timescales
– Preparing accurate working papers on a quarterly basis
– Calculating distribution rates
– Preparing audit packs for Trustees
– Implementing any relevant changes from regulatory bodies as and when required
– Assisting with any ad hoc projects or initiatives when relevant
– Meeting clients’ needs and responding to any enquiries in a timely and appropriate manner
– Assist the team within any other ad hoc duties as required

The Person:
– A background in fund accounting or similar, relevant experience
– A client focused attitude
– A genuine emphasis on trustworthiness and integrity
– The ability to make sound decisions within appropriate timescales
– The ability to adapt to change and altered scenarios based on client demands or needs
– Strong communication skills

This role offers a chance to work within a well-known and respected organisation with an established team. In addition a competitive salary between £28,000 and £31,000 dependent on experience is on offer for a candidate who can demonstrate the skillset and experience outlined above.
