ASA Recruitment’s client has a vacancy for an ambitious Draughtsperson / Estimator to join their busy engineering business on a permanent basis located in North Ayrshire.

The successful candidate will ideally have knowledge and experience within the engineering and manufacturing industry, and will join a company which has over 20 years’ experience in Engineering and Profile Cutting industry using state of the art equipment.

In this permanent role you will:

· Prepare accurate cost estimates for the manufacture of complex machined components
· Provide internal design and engineering support in the specifying and manufacturing of products
· Good mechanical engineering background
· Proficient in the use of CAD and 2D drawings
· Provide technical estimations

Main duties:

· Ability to reading and interpret client specifications and pricing the individual components required
· for completion of the work
· Experience of costing preferable
· Excellent client liaising skills
· IT Literate – Excel, MS Office
· Ability to apply a logical and determined approach to resolving issues
· Ability to multi-task and accommodate varying levels of volume

In return you will receive:

· Salary up to £26K
· 32 days holidays inclusive of stats
· Pension contribution (8%)
