ASA are currently looking to recruit a DevOps Engineer on an initial 6 month assignment with a possibility to extend up to 23 months, based in central Glasgow .

If you are a motivated DevOPS Engineer who wants to help a large scale public sector organisation continue their journey of automation, reliability, and performance then this is the role for you.

The DevOps role:

• Working within a regulated environment, this role will see the successful candidate Implement high-level technical requirements in a practical reliable and scalable way on a large scale migration project
• Work collaboratively with the entirety of the business to deliver and improve services using agile methodologies to ensure products and services meet current and future requirements
• Demonstrate your deep technical knowledge of DevOps environments, to constantly solve complex problems and support the main delivery team

The ideal candidate will have the following experience:

• The ability to demonstrate a firm grasp of DevOps and Agile methodologies.
• 3 years plus experience in a practical DevOps role with AWS is essential
• Practical experience of using VCS in team environments and coding with Python or Ansible
• Demonstrable experience of offering guidance and Mentoring colleagues in automation, security, and reliability, within a DevOps context
