Are you an experienced Cloud Infrastructure Test Engineer looking to take on a contract opportunity within a prestigious large scale project in the public sector?

ASA are looking for a Cloud Infrastructure Test Engineer to join the public sector in Glasgow. This contract opportunity would be perfect for an individual comfortable supporting the ongoing infrastructure testing work within the new testing function. Hands on automated infrastructure testing expertise in a Cloud hosted solution is key to this role to be successful.

The Test Engineer Role:

• This hands-on Infrastructure Test Engineer role will focus on the testing of the AWS hosted infrastructure. Within the DevOps pool, led by the Infrastructure Test Manager and part of a small group of Infrastructure Test Engineers
• Developing the automated test scripts to supplement the existing test framework following a risk-based infrastructure testing approach aligned to the Infrastructure Test Strategy
• Running these tests manually initially but with a strong focus on running them automatically thereafter with test results are automated for alerting
• Adopting a standardised approach to test preparation and execution of all infrastructure testing across the programme
• Developing continuous integration test pipeline for regression test purpose

Successful candidates for the Test Engineer role will require:

Strong hands-on manual and automated test design & development skills to meet the requirements of this position. We are looking for someone with previous experience of testing the development of a cloud infrastructure solution as it is being built rather than testing the applications and services hosted on an infrastructure.

• Previous infrastructure testing experience in a Cloud hosting solution with AWS or similar
• Experience of developing automated test framework for infrastructure testing
• Experience of developing and designing automated test framework for infrastructure testing
