Cloud Infrastructure Architect

Description

ASA are looking for an experienced Cloud Infrastructure Architect – AWS in Glasgow on an initial 6 month with potential to extend contract with a public sector body (Outside IR35).

The ideal candidate will have the following experience

• Cloud infrastructure with AWS
• Experience ensuring that enterprise applications are deployed in a secure, high available and resilient manner within AWS as a cloud infrastructure architect
• Experience of working in an Agile environment
• Knowledge of government information security standards with demonstrable experience in interpreting and applying information assurance policies in the context of ICT infrastructure

Key responsibilities

• Create cloud and infrastructure architectures to define strategic direction (such as cloud architecture roadmap) and tactical solutions
• Govern and assure that technical solutions adhere to cloud strategy
• Design and document end to end cloud hosted architecture including cost and resource estimates
• Support Enterprise and Solutions architects
• Support Social Security (customer) in delivering solution for Benefits solution in an Agile delivery environment
• Provide support and assistance to Cloud Engineers
• Based in Glasgow however may be required to attend meetings, workshops etc. in other locations including, but not limited to, the offices

The Benefits

• Monday to Thursday 8.30 am – 5.00 pm with 1 hour for lunch. Friday 8.30 am to 4.00 pm with 1 hour for lunch. Flexibility when required.
• 37 hours per week excluding lunch breaks
• 36.5 days holidays pro rata from day 1 of the contract
• Paid weekly
• Potential to be extended
• Central location
• Dedicated account manager with one point of contact
