ASA are recruiting for experienced healthcare staff to work as a Care Assistant with our clients in Aberdeen. You will be working on the frontline of care delivery, helping individuals to overcome the everyday difficulties they face. Your typical day could include working with elderly, disabled, long-term ill and those with learning difficulties; the role is extremely varied and every day is different. You should be a strong communicator with both residents and other members of staff and be able to build a rapport quickly with those you are working with.

Care Assistant Responsibilities:
· Assisting with immediate needs of residents such as washing, dressing and personal hygiene
· Assist with mobility with use of relevant equipment and manual moving and handling
· Domestic duties where required
· Promote independence in all aspects of day to day life
· Encourage participation in planned activities and events
· Assisting with medication

The Ideal Applicant:
· Ability to work on your own initiative and prioritise your tasks
· Motivated to make positive change for others
· Strong listening and communication skills
· Understand and follow policies and procedures confidently
· Existing PVG member (update required) or willing to apply for new PVG
· SSSC registration or 6 months to register from date of employment
· SVQ 2 or 3 in Social Care
