Description

Our client in Dundee are looking to recruit a Business Support Assistant until March 2020 with the option to extend for a further 8 weeks. The postholder will be expected to provide administrative support ensuring that a high level of quality, security and confidentiality is maintained

The typical working week will 37.5 hours ( Monday to Friday ) with a rate of £9.77 per hour plus holiday accrual

Assignment overview:

* Present information in a clear and concise manner ensuring accuracy and compliance
* Provide support for a wide variety of projects to support the organisation’s strategic outcomes and priorities
* Input, update, extract and manipulate information from computer databases and / or manual records as required
* Use Excel information to create and maintain spread sheets
* Organise travel and accommodation requirements for staff
* Deal with and manage requests for external venue bookings
* Raise and receipt purchase orders using our finance database
* Arrange bookings for attendance at conferences/training events
* Take notes of meetings as requested
* Carry out filing, record and archive information help to development new office systems
* Help organise meetings, workshops, seminars and events
* Support departmental managers in the development of organisational understanding of process and requirements
* Undertake other work as directed by department managers

Required skills and experience:

* Operating within busy environment
* Telephone answering and query handling
* Handling of confidential information
* A systematic approach to make efficient use of time and manage workload, prioritising own work effectively to meet deadlines and objectives
* Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite in particular Word and Excel
* Concise and clear oral skills along with clear and accurate written skills
* Screening and inputting information accurately and within set timescales
* Effective organisational skills and time management, able to meet deadlines
* Demonstrate an appreciation of the importance of confidentiality and security of information

The postholder will be required to hold a current Standard Disclosure though consideration would be given to a candidate if they have held a Basic Disclosure issued within the previous 12 months
