Agile Tester

Are you an experienced Agile System Tester ready for your next contract in the Scottish public sector?

Our client is currently looking for an Agile System Tester with ISEB accreditation to undertake a programme of work for a large portion of the next year.

Agile System Tester:
1. Design and produce both automated and manual test scripts, procedures and regression test packs to test new or amended software;
2. execute sets of test scripts for complex functionality;
3. perform initial analysis on defects before raising them in a clear and concise manner, with accurate reference to intended behaviour, and diagnostic steps undertaken;
4. re-test defects and work with developers when required;
5. produce test plans and test summaries – adhering to industry standards and conventions;
6. analyse and report test results to supervisor and/or other colleagues in a clear and concise manner. Identifies and reports issues and risks associated with own work.

Essential Criteria:

1. Experience of working in an Agile systems development project team as the Lead Tester;
2. Experience of Agile System Testing;
3. Experience of writing and executing test scripts;
4. Experience of identifying, logging and re-testing system defects using HP Quality Centre or similar tool;
5. Experience of using UFT software to create and run automated tests;
6. Knowledge of relational databases and basic SQL programming;
7. Good general IT skills, with experience of the Microsoft Office Suite;
8. Certified ISEB System Testing Accreditation Intermediate Level (or equivalent).
