Are you an experienced Finance Assistant?
ASA Recruitment are looking to source an experienced Accounts Payable professional to work with a client in the public sector. This role would be suitable for candidates with great initiative and strong problem-solving skills who is seeking a new opportunity in the Glasgow area.
Key tasks of the Accounts payable office role:
· Processing invoices within a large busy organisation
· Matching up invoices with their relevant purchase orders
· Investigate any financial queries and analyse data to identify potential errors and discrepancies invoice.
· Ability to communicate with both internal departments and external suppliers.
· Knowledge of legislation as it affects Accounts Payable
Successful candidates for this role will need:
· Direct experience of the accounts payable function
· Experience of working with Microsoft Excel
· Experience of using computerised financial systems and importing data.
· Effective written and oral communication skills and good presentation skills
· Good time management skills in order to keep payments up to date and also deal with disputed invoices
· Great initiative and strong problem solving skills
