ASA are working alongside a long established Chartered Accountancy Practice based in Ayrshire, keen to bring on an Accountancy professional into their tight-knit team. The successful candidate for this role will have previous experience with the full process of accounts preparation in a practice environment and could be fully qualified but also QBE or actively (replace with actively) studying towards a qualification. This opportunity is offering a real chance for a long term role and genuine progression within the organisation. The right candidate will be a self-motivated individual with a strong practice background. A role like this offers full 360 view of practice duties and genuinely rounded duties.

The role:
– Dealing with self-assessment
– Preparing accounts for sole traders, limited companies and charities
– Consulting with and advising clients both over the phone and in person
– Assisting with bookkeeping duties
– Assisting with VAT
– Year end duties
– Ad hoc duties as required

The person:
– Experience of working in a practice environment
– A motivated accounting professional
– Experience dealing with a large number of limited companies and sole traders
– A strong work ethic and the ability to prioritise duties
– A qualified, QBE or strong part qualified accounting professional
– Strong Microsoft Excel skills
– A background in dealing with clients
– The ability to complete tasks in order to meet deadlines and prioritise workloads

This role would be ideal for someone with the drive to progress within a practice environment or equally for someone who is keen to settle into a long term role, as there is a real opportunity to progress within the practice, but this is not essential. The successful accountant will receive a competitive salary between £25,000 and £40,000 dependent on experience as well as the opportunity to work in a truly flexible working environment.
