ASA Recruitment is Scotland’s largest independent recruitment organisation, and we are currently recruiting for Support Workers based in Elgin. Our client is a well-known charity that work across the north east of Scotland offering support to and empowering the life choices of adults and young people.

As a support worker you can expect every day to be different with a variety of activities to get involved in. Some days can be challenging however the hugely rewarding feeling of improving the lives of those you are supporting is enough to overwrite any tough days. Shifts vary and can often be for only a few hours, however longer 24.5 hour sleepover shifts are available.

Our ideal candidate has a genuine desire to help others and is patient with a friendly nature. Ideally you would be within the local areas for travel purposes as public transport is not always readily available.

Responsibilities Include:
· Getting involved in going out and about with those you are supporting
· Dealing with sometimes challenging behaviours
· Personal care and support with household tasks
· Promoting independence in all aspects of daily life and activities.
· Creating and maintaining good professional relationships with clients, their family, friends and other members of staff

Requirements:
Minimum of 6 months experience working in care in the UK is required. To apply to this position, you must obtain a PVG certificate and join the SSSC register if not already a member. Own transport is desirable due to location. You must be able to provide two references for previous work experience.
