Test Analyst

Are you an experienced Test Analyst looking for an opportunity to work in the public sector and join a busy and proactive team?

ASA are working with a large business in the public sector and are currently looking for a Test Analyst with experience in working with perform systems, interface, integration and acceptance testing.

In this role you will be expected to work under the direction of the Test Lead and identify and design test cases and test scripts, mapping back to pre-determined criteria and maintaining traceability

Essential skills to be successful in this role:
· Experience working within software systems development lifecycle
· Minimum 5-year experience of delivering test analysis in large-scale complex environments
· Minimum 1-year previous Public Sector Testing experience
· Ability to understand, interpret, deliver and measure against business-driven requirements
· Familiar with Test Management Tools (e.g. HP Quality Centre/ALM)
· Clear Organisation, analysis and structured thinking skills
· Experience of working in business critical environments
· Able to apply risk-based testing principles
· Working knowledge of SQL
· Good all round IT skills, with experience of the Microsoft Office Suite

Desirable skills to be successful in this role:
· Experience of test automation
· Recent database experience including confidence in maintaining and querying SQL databases
· Ability to create, read and manipulate XML data
· Knowledge of client, server and networking technologies

This role offers a secure 6 month contract, with the potential to extend, working with a large Public Sector business in the Central Belt
